Last season, nothing serious. Brused heel, spraned ankle, almost broken both my shin bones or what ever you wanna call them.

Yeah, sure, let's see.... Snowboarding only, I'm assuming....

2 Winter seasons ago I compound fractured my left wrist from landing leaning on my nose and having it catch edge causing me to whip around and punch the icy landing that is oh so frequent at my local park. I qualified for state a couple weeks later anyway.

Last Winter season, 1 week from state and already qualified, there was a local comp but unfortunately it was canceled due to the heavy weather. My friends and I decided to do tree runs to keep up the shred but avoid the winds -- There was some sick powder and we were stoked on it, so I was bonking and jibbing anything I could find in there. Midway through the day, I spotted this log I could pop up on to and tailpress down, so I did without looking ahead much, just reacting on instinct -- coming out of the hit gave me a lot of speed and there happened to be a tree a didn't notice, I tried turning up the mtn but it was too late so my board went down when I went up and I hit the tree right at the side of my knee. I was able to pop off it and reduce the damage, but I still ended up cracking my tibia (shin), although there was no permanent damage. I couldn't put pressure on my leg at all for 3 months and I was in a stiff full leg brace so I wouldn't crack it anymore and allow it to heal. I missed out on state but luckily I was able to go to hood anyway that summer, taking 3 vicodin every 2 hours cus there was so much pain from not allowing myself to gain the muscle back. Good thing I didn't overstress any muscles that trip o.O

sounds like a lot of wrist injuries out there. thats always the most likely place to hurt yourself from snowboarding. i broke my shoulder in 3 places and it also came out of socket of my shoulder so yeah dislocated and broken. got surgery after 2 days straight of pain and percacet (like 2 times stronger than vicadin). they put these gnarly 6 inch pins in my shoulder and pulled them out like 10 weeks later and i was good. it really sucked because i was out for the 2nd half of the season at snoqualmie which is always the best part of the season no matter what the conditions cuz us people here in the NW know how to have a good time. and then i also missed out on summer riding too. sucks. a lot. seeing all the videos this fall at premieres in seattle though is getting me sooooo anxious to ride. im just gonna try and have a lot of fun this season. im not gonna worry about getting better or getting hurt or anything. of course i would love to get even better but i went with that approach last season and it obviously ended up getting me screwed. although, i do feel like i was riding better than i ever had before i got hurt last season. but yeah super stoked like the rest of all you guys for this season to start. okay i think thats enough bitching and whining for now haha. keep posting your stories though.

Broke my left foot last year in the middle of film season. Was I snowboarding? Nope. Walking home from the bar, which was around the corner from where I lived. I made it out for some spring riding in Crested Butte, but filming had ceased. New season this year though, so I'm way stoked to get some good footy. I live in the midwest so season is slow to start, quick to end! Hopefully gonna make some trips out this year!

two small incidents last season. one time i was trying a new trick on a box and i didnt keep my base entirely flat so i fell toeside and my bicep area hit the side of the box really hard and sharply. i thought i broke it and i was in pain for 24 hours. ya sounds like im a wuss. but somehow i hit it hard enough. and then, i went off a kicker and didnt see the landing correctly, so in mid air i was like 'wtf!?' so i landed right on my butt. it hurts alot! possibly one of the most short lasting but most painful thing ever for me. so Josh Vester, i know what u mean!

ummm... like, every season since i started snowboarding.... same with skateboarding, usually my ankles. not guna get into details... but biggest injury, about, four years ago... booter, i forget what i was doing, bad scorpian... shifted my spine, broke my ribs, pulled all my stomach muscles, back muscles, pinched a nerve, and wacked out my rotary cup. i was temporarily paralyzed and my friends dad had to carry me out of the woods n drove me home, showed my mom my back n she almost threw up, i sat in the jacuzzi for about 3 or 4 days i think, went snowboarding on a rail shortly after still real sore and a stupid thing to do, because the first frontboard i tried pinched that nerve and it was just disasterous. back in the tub for another day or two but never did go to the hospital, and shits never been the same since. I probably should have went... now im a sissy ahaha but its always fun.

last season up at big white, BC i was doin this backcountry line, fun pow pow, but we came outa the alpine area and into some trees, got a bit crazy... hit this bump n popped off toooo big, landed fine, huge pow slash and face full of snow that made me not able to see, then i hit another bump and 'supermanned' face first into a tree well and got stuck upside down for a good... 15 minutes. the next day i took this girl i usually always went with up to show her the spot, and she ended up doing something similar and dislocating her elbow. It was awful.

not from me personally but i did see a little snow thug wreck himself on a staircase rail at Boreal in Tahoe CA,
i was on the lift watching people shred and this kid clipped his nose going for a front board. went over the handle bars and his face was the first thing to make contact with the wood stairs followed my the force and momentum of his entire body. the kid didnt move for like 3 minutes then managed to get up and slowly slide down the hill in the feadle postion clutching his face.... real bummer. had to feel bad for the kid. excuse my spelling.
